I allowed my cell phone to become fully discharged. At that time I plugged in the Turbo Charge. Immediately the Turbo Charge blue light came on and it started to charge my phone. I was also able to make a call within a very few minutes. Later in the day I received an incoming call while still on the charge from the Turbo Charge.
My cell phone retained this charge and was still useable four hours later. It did need to be charged fully after the four hours.
I feel that the convenience and small size of the Turbo Charge makes it a valuable item to have with you whenever you find that you may not be able to charge your cell phone in a more conventional way. It would be well worth always keeping with you for the unexpected emergency. The Turbo Charge will take no more space nor weigh any more than a tube of lip balm.
The only inconvenience I found was that it would be easy to lose the connector. The manufacturer might consider some way to attach the connector cable to the Turbo Charge case.
It's simple, convenient, fashionable and lightweight!
The best time to use your Turbo Charge is at the first indication of low battery power on your cell phone or PDA.
- To use the Turbo Charge, simply unscrew the bottom of your Turbo Charge unit and insert one AA battery. (Any AA battery will work; some Blackberrys may require a lithium battery.)
- We have sent you several adapters - one will fit your cell phone or PDA. Please select the appropriate adapter and plug it into the top of the Turbo Charge. The other side of the adapter should be plugged into your cell phone or PDA.
- A blue light will illuminate indicating that your cell phone or PDA is being charged. You can now use your cell phone.
- When the blue light no longer illuminates, it's time for a new AA battery.
- If your cell phone battery is completely dead, it may take a few minutes of charging for your phone to become operational again.
- If your Turbo Charge feels warm to the touch, this is normal and it will not affect the operation of the charger.
- If the blue light does not illuminate, you may have to reset your cell phone by removing your battery and reinserting it.
